How to use team validation rules

Simplify team registrations with validation rules.

1. Why use team validation rules

Team events often come with specific constraints — family tickets, mixed teams, age or gender requirements.

With the Team validation rules module, you can define exactly what makes a team valid and let the system handle the checks for you.

In the store, install the module ‘Team Validation Rules’:

This module allows you to create validation rules for team competitions.

If the team members do not match the validation rules defined, they won’t be able to finalise the team registration.

In your edition, go to ‘Setup’ > ‘Team settings’ > ‘Team validation rules’ > Click on ‘Add rule’.

Configure the rule:

Complete the ‘Rule name’ and ‘Rule report name’.
Select the competition(s) linked to the rule.
Click on ‘Create a condition’ and configure the condition which will define the rule then click on ‘add this condition’. It is possible to create several conditions.
Under ‘Condition settings’, define how many teammates must satisfy the condition(s).
Enter the message that will be displayed in the shopping basket if the rule is not respected, then click on ‘Save’.
